I discussed that letter briefly both here and in the article it is updating. Eli's list is restricted to climatologists whereas the open letter there was signed by all kinds of people: economists, mathmaticians, anthropolgists, geneticists, energy consultants, you name it.
It was also not constrained to only those who have viewed "An Inconvenient Truth". But I get your general point, there are starting to be a lot of lists out there!

I have not seen the film, so I don't know how it compares to the book of the same title, but the book is FULL of errors, inaccuracies, and important omissions. For example see:
