An Unforeseen Bonus

One artifact, entirely unplanned, of the style I chose for the How to Talk to a Climate Sceptic guide is that I seem to be showing up in a number of web searches that have a definite "sceptic" odor about them! I guess by stating the denialism before debunking it some people who are probably trying to confirm their misconceptions are ending up here. Maybe a few souls saved from the Dark Side? :-)

Some example search strings that show up in the referring URL's:

I come up in a few regular searches:

And there are a few rather funny searches that brought folks here:

Anyway, reading this is probably like watching some one else's home videos, sorry! I still get a kick out of seeing how people find their way here.

Vanity post over.

You are correct of course. Funny enough, this is becoming a regular way for people to get here, thanks to those comments somewhere that had www.exxonsecrets.com (another rank boost for google ;) Of course the real URL turns up way more hits...

Blogger wagga actually has a perfectly simple explanation: Somebody looking for local bloggers in Wagga Wagga, Oz. But it's a phrase that has poetic value entirely aside from its meaning, don't you think?

All of this web activity so soon is very encouraging. Keep up the good work!

So you think there is nothing strange about looking for bloggers in Wagga Wagga?! Just kidding, I know people actually do live there, I just got a kick out of Australian suburb names in general and this one became a symbol for me.

Anyway, thanks for the comment, see you around the virtual neighborhood.
