My Recent Absence
Gentle Readers,
I apologize for not keeping up with blogging, both posts and responding to comments, as well as participation elsewhere.
My partner of the last 17 years died at 4:00AM, November 26, 2006. It was a long time coming but the end was thankfully pain free and at home.
I don't think I will be doing anything here for a few more days.

Keep your head up. That's really all I can say.
To paraphrase Nate from "Six Feet Under", talking to the mother of a deceased 20-year old: "This is as bad as it gets. I can't say anything to make you feel any better."
Death is the mother of all bitches. Time does ease the pain though. Hang in there.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your partner, try to find some comfort in the fact that you and yours are in the prayers of me and mine and that no longer is there any pain or suffering in the body of your partner, for he is in the hands of the Almighty and there is no better place to be.
