Putting pop-culture to good uses

RealClimate has an excellent post today on the differences between studying today's climate versus paleoclimate research. They make a very nice use of some pop-culture, specifically CSI and Cold Case, two crime scene investigation dramas. It relates to a couple of articles in the Guide here:

• If we can't figure out the past, how can we know about the present
• The climate is always changing
• It has been warmer than this before
• This is just a natural cycle
